Weekend with the 'rents

This past weekend was awesome! Sam and I went up to Williamsburg to see my vacationing parents. They scored a nice towne house at a resort through their time share. A good time was had by all. If you don't believe me, see my Sam's blog. My parents are absolutely in love with my beautiful fiancee. I've never been happier. Oh, did I mention I finally got to CLEARLY hear my baby's heartbeat? Sounded like some sick beatboxing.

Help fund our wedding!

Me and Sam are getting hitched in Orlando on May 5th! Please help fund our wedding/honeymoon!

Went to a job interview today. Got really excited about it because I pretty much had them at hello and then we discussed salary requirements. Big letdown! Only 1K a year more than what I make now? For an IT director of a corporation? I understand it's a small company but I was expecting at least just a little bit more...well, as Sam would say-aww shucks! Well, I have another employer trying to contact me about a phone interview tomorrow so hopefully that's a bit more promising. I just want to make enough to better support my financee and child who will be here soon. Maybe I should find a job outside my field. Embrace my rustic, earthy nature. I would love that. Work off the land. Settle down into the countryside.

Engaged!

Just got engaged! We picked the ring out yesterday after hours spent at various pawn shops in the area. We ended up at Jareds and found the perfect one. It was actually almost exactly like some of the ones I found on Etsys. See for yourself...

How did this happen???

So we got the fetal doppler in the mail yesterday...

Sam heard the heartbeat right off the bat after about 5 mins of probing around.  Of course when I got home and we tried it, we were unable to find it. Thought we found it a couple times but were pretty sure it was Sam's heart. Later that night, we tried it again and success! Pretty faint but we could hear it. It's pretty awesome getting to hear your own baby's heartbeart. Can't really explain it. It's just crazy that there's a little living being inside of her and it's a part of me.

2nd trimester!

We just hit our 2nd trimester yesterday. Whaaaat? Crazy how fast time advances. Just one more after this. So I ordered a doppler heart monitor from Amazon today. Guess I'm totally invested in this baby thing. Should have it by next week. Now we can keep a better eye errr ears on the baby.

So, my gal is at the OB/GYN for her first visit. Of course I had to work and now I am trying to wait patiently to hear the results of the visit. Very exciting....more to come.

Results....we have a girl!!!! Well  according to the rapid, galloping herd of horses heartbeat that can be heard below. Also the semi-accurate pee test that we took.

I could be proved wrong.

Refreshed

Work is getting so monotonous. Worked here for a little over 2 years and finally got hired as an HP employee about a month ago. Been working on this contract for about 4 years now. Not to be conceited but I'm one of the best techs and I work my ass off. Not lately. Fed up with the whole experience. Sure the benefits are nice but getting micromanaged constantly and treated like a child far outweighs the perks. I'm tired of the customers, tired of the traffic, and tired of military/govt. regulations. I need something else. I need to get out of this area. Virginia Beach has run its toll. Alright I'm done bitching. Got bored today and refreshed my blog. Been working on a banner since yesterday and I finally have one up.
